Antique Old European Cut Three Stone Ring

Beautiful Art Deco Three Stone Ring in 14k Yellow Gold hallmarked by Jung and Klitz of New York. The central Old European Cut Sapphire is a rich royal blue color. Jung and Klitz were known for using high end gemstones in their jewelry pieces, however, it is unknown if this is a natural mined or laboratory grown sapphire. Laboratory grown Sapphires were common in this era in jewelry. While it tests as a Sapphire the only way to know if it is natural or lab grown is to send it for laboratory grading. It is flanked on each side by a Old European Cut Diamond of .10 carats each which are bright white and clean to the naked eye and under the jewelers loupe. The setting style used to be referred to as a Gypsy Ring. Also known as a rub over, bezel set, or flush setting these types of rings are ideal for those in health care or those who work with their hands since there are no prongs to catch and the stones are set low. The ring is sure to delight, it has a heavy feel for its size and is smooth to the touch. There are expected signs of wear to the facets of the sapphire under magnification as shown in our close up photos, this is unnoticeable to the naked eye. The new owner of this ring is sure to be pleased with this vintage treasure. Find more photos and video on our Instagram page Vanessaatheritagejewelry.
