Great cut, dispersion, & color. A superior reddish orange Spessartite! The stone was originally 5.51 cts, but it had to much extinction for my liking & I had Dan Stair re-cut the pavilion. Now the stone is just filled with superb brilliance, shooting off orange & reddish orange lasers. It is a very bright stone, even though it is medium dark in tone, but on the lighter side of medium dark. At 11.00 mm x 9.00 X 6.30 mm, you should have no problem finding a setting.

Spessartites of this quality are becoming harder to find & more expensive, especially over 5 cts. This gem will make someone very happy!
