original title : sz 8.5, set w/ 7.5mm LY Cartier Cushion WinkCZ 925

When i purchased this, it was listed as only being "a few weeks old" but there is significant wear to the rhodium plating at the base of the shank (palm side and between the fingers), it is almost completely worn off and there are scratches and heavy wear to the bottom portion of the shank as well. i have worn it for maybe a total of five hours and most of that was yesterday - it came to me in this damaged condition. it looks like a ring that was worn heavily for a few months or so - nothing a little time at a jeweler's spa couldn't spiff up, though. Also the original seller neglected to mention that the cathedral arches are uneven. this isn't obvious when worn, or even at a casual glance, but if held still and examined closely from the side it becomes obvious one of the cathedral tips is closer to the setting than the other. Upon even further study, in my opinion the head is slightly uneven and the stone tilts toward the side where the cathedral is closer. again, not something anyone would notice when wearing it, or having a friend examine it while on the hand. aaaaaand the tripled fishtail prongs at the cushion corners aren't done very well and it snags. i think the middle of the three prongs was for some reason intentionally left so that it doesn't actually wrap around the stone? it caught on my hair and my knitting and drove me bonkers. yeah, i really should have returned it for a refund but i had other issues going on at the time and this fell by the wayside. so i packed it away and found it a few nights ago. i was told the ring was made by Amcor via poppyseed, that it is sterling silver, and that the 6 small stones are natural diamonds. it is stamped 925. It was sold to me as a size 9 but measures as 8.5 on my mandrel. It is quite tall and measures right at 9mm up off the hand. The center stone is a 7.5mm Cartier Cushion WinkCZ, sold to me as Light Yellow - it might be one of the VLY but either way it isn't one of the "baked" ones, it is one of the old ones that came in a delicious, realistic tint. from the side it looks quite yellow but from the top it just looks a little bit warm. one of the images shows this ring next to a band - it isn't included, and isn't currently listed for sale but if you are interested in it to make a set, i can make a listing for it.

This ring could use a good cleaning, and some time with a Sunshine Cloth would probably polish it up nicely but i just don't have the heart. it arrived with the stone in desperate need of a good cleaning and i gave it a scrub but i can see in my photos that i missed a few spots. i think i've mentioned all the issues i'm aware of with this ring - and like i said, it came to me this way, so i want whomever gets it next to not be caught unaware of the issues!
