Mozambique purple garnet cut by Jeff into a gorgeous cushion cut. On receiving the stone, my first thought was - purple piece of kryptonite with the light show this stone creates. Eye clean, displaying intense blue-violet in cool light and more an intense violet with red flashes in incandescent.

Set in custom platinum solitaire with double-claw prongs, "V" motif wire basket crown, and cathedral low dome body with high polish relief. Shank tapers from 2.45 to 2.2 to 2mm.

Size 5.5 (size 5.75 with small sizing bridge/bump, bringing size to an effective 5.5).
