Why choose moissanite?
Although a center stone of an engagement ring is typically a diamond, other gemstones can make an engagement ring more affordable and just as beautiful. One alternative is Moissanite, originally discovered in 1893 in a meteor crater, it is a very rare and scarce mineral. Therefore, moissanite as we know it today is almost exclusively lab grown. On the Moh’s scale of hardness, Moissanite is rated as a 9.25, nearly as hard as diamond which is a 10 and hardest known mineral. I love beautiful jewelry: diamonds, moissanite, and natural gemstones.
However, because I have collected more jewelry over the years than I really need, I have decided to sell several pieces. Although most items I have for sale are in vintage used condition, they have been cleaned and polished to look like new.
